Domaine du Bouchot Mixed Case

Domaine du Bouchot was the first certified organic estate in the Loire Valley and in 2021 they will be fully biodynamic certified as well. Their wines are made from 10 hectares worth of Sauvignon Blanc planted around the winery, which is located in the village of Saint Andelain on the east side of the Loire (facing Sancerre). Biodynamic practices are taken within the vineyard and winery and the wines are naturally fermented in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts and aged in either vat, barrique or amphora. The vinifications that follow are done with minimal intervention and as a result, the wines are incredibly expressive of their terroir.

2018 marked the arrival of Antoine Gouffier, young winemaker and child of the village, who has taken over from the Kerbiquet family with great energy. He travelled around the world for 12 years, visiting New York, California, Argentina, Africa and the Middle East. With Pascal Kerbiquet, his mentor, a prophet of Bio and Pygmalion of biodynamics, Antoine has found his haven in Bouchot.
