MARIETTA CELLARS | Marietta Cellars has a history of family winemaking that goes back four generations in Sonoma County. At current count, there have been seven different winemakers in the family. Each has had their own focus and style. The unifying elements have been family, hard work, passion, and a love of the creative process that is winemaking.
TASTING NOTE | Earthy undertones give the wine its distinct, savory expression of Zinfandel, with plenty of cedar, tobacco, licorice and herb nuances. Medium on body and restrained for a California Zinfandel, the Angeli hits all the right notes. Drink now or age up to 10 years.
VINEYARDS & WINEMAKING | Marietta Cellars vineyards connect gravel swales from the Russian River to terraced knolls invisible from the valley floor. The extremes of this site create a wine that is powerful but has surprising elegance and clarity. This gorgeous Zinfandel is intensified by small additions of Petite Sirah and Syrah all grown here on the estate surrounding the winery. Aged for 15 months in neutral oak barrels.
