Boschendal, one of the oldest Wine Estates in South Africa is located in the Franschhoek Valley, an area meaning "little French corner" where Huguenots settled after fleeing religious persecution in Europe. The first vines were planted here in 1685 and today the estate has become an icon of South African viticulture and a well known destination with restaurants, an artisnal farmshop and extensive vineyards that spread over 3,500 hectares. The Boschendal team use sustainable techniques across both farm and cellar balancing traditionional French techniques and experience with modern innovation to produce award winning classic wines with a new world attitude.
