Château du Trignon is located in Gigondas, with 90 hectares of vineyards that spread over 6 appellations in the Southern Rhone valley. The Quiot family has been working in the vineyards of the Rhône valley since at least 1748. They have a great respect for the terroir and work hard to produce rich, approachable, terroir-oriented wines. They acquired Château du Trignon in 2006 and today Florence Quiot and her brother Jean-Baptiste have dedicated themselves to continuing their famiy's tradition of producing the highest quality estate bottled wines.

Fresh and forward. A mix of strawberries, redcurrants, floral and sandalwood notes. Smooth and well-balanced on the palate with a silky finish. A soft, fruity wine.

 

The Roux family acquired the Château du Trignon in 1896. Back then it was a traditional Provençal farm of the time, with mixed and livestock farming. Since then 5 generations have refocused the farm on the vine and expanded the estate across a number of neighboring appellations: Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet and Côtes du Rhône. A qualitative approach is also underway with the construction of a gravity winery, the adaptation of the planting of grape varieties to the land, and the air-conditioning of the cellar.

A lovely pink colour. Spellbinding notes of wood and strawberry. A very flowery mouth, well balanced, smooth and with a good length. Smooth and well-balanced on the palate as well; a soft and fruity wine.

Bright ruby red with a fresh and powerful attack. Wide complex structure. delicate woody finish. Gigondas offers a rich bouquet with fine fruity spicy aromas sunny colour ranging from ruby to dark garnet. The nose reveals of red fruits very ripe black fruits. Full-bodied fleshy grenache noir releases all expression its power in this shimmering wine. Marked tannins and structured body with great aptitude for aging.

This is a voluptuous, mouth-coating Grenache augmented by smaller proportions of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Its black plum and mulberry flavours are intensely ripe and juicy, but it's a nuanced wine accented by flecks of peppery spice, espresso and violet, and a upright streak of acidity that anchors the finish.
