Shingleback is the brainchild of Kym and John Davey. The brothers shared a vision, and in 1997 embarked on a venture to develop vineyards on their grandfather’s farm. Harnessing their combined winemaking, farming & business knowledge, their goal was to produce affordable, quality wines that would express the true character of the region and today the 120 hectare estate has grown to produce some of the most prestigious wines in McLaren Vale. The vines are planted predominantly with Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and are farmed sustainably, representing a family committed to producing outstanding wines from the land they love.
