The Duclaux family history dates back to the 17th century when Louis Duclaux was the Mayor of Chateauneuf du Pape in 1627. Emeline Latour was the last member of the Duclaux family and affter her death in 2001 the estate was passed down to her god daughter Florence Quiot who now runs the domaine with her husband Jean-Baptiste. The estate is known for its old vines, some of which are over 100 years old. All harvesting is done by hand, meticulously selecting only the best grapes for pressing. Their traditional wines highlight the full expression of the terroir, and are true representations of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
