The colour in the glass is dark and inky with an alluring opaque black plum core and the aromatics are intricately perfumed and lifted with notes of sweet violets, salty crème de cassis, tart black cherry, spicy black plum and warm buttered brown breakfast toast over hints of dried baking herbs, graphite, chai tea and delicately sappy, leafy nuances. While incredibly focused, taut, and fresh on the palate, the fruit ripeness is simply pitch perfect, combining intensely concentrated notes of black currant and damson plum fruits with an electrically charged acidity that adds verve and vigour to the mouthfeel while remaining classically structured, linear, and mineral driven in essence. This is an incredibly accomplished pure Cabernet Sauvignon that firmly tips its hat to a ripe yet fresh vintage that stylistically you could easily see in top Bordeaux left bank Cabernet Sauvignon dominated wines. What energy, focus and intensity! Wim Truter has certainly made the most of this superb, slightly atypically cool, fresh Cape vintage. The palate's a riot of fleshy and flavorsome chardonnay fruit with a helping of stone fruits and another of green mango flavors and deeper-set citrus zest. Seamless balance flows to the finish. The 2012 Brut Blancs de Blancs Louis Salmon is a gorgeous Champagne. Lemon confit, spice, baked apple tart, chamomile and dried flowers are all nicely amplified. The 2012 was done 75% in tank and 25% in oak, with most of the lots undergoing malolactic fermentation. There's a feeling of reserve in the 2012 that is quite appealing. This edition is terrific, but it also needs time to be at its best. I would be in no rush to open this. Low yields and a year beset by frost, hail, heavy rain, mildew and sunburn at various times produced a rich Champagne. The blend of sites in Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly, Cramant and Oiry works so well. Dosage is 3.9 grams per liter. Disgorged: first trimester 2023.

The appearance of this natural wine is pale yellow and is slightly cloudy, due its lack of processing. On the nose, strong aromas of banana, apple and pear blend with toasted brioche. In the mouth, it is full-bodies and rich, with a creamy refreshing and fruity acidity. 

The vineyards at Viña Echeverría are located in the Curicó Valley and the rows are planted in an east-westerly direction to potentiate the sun’s exposure. We work with a model of micro viticulture, which means that each plot, no more than half a hectare, is identified according to its terroir and microclimate and planted, pruned, irrigated and harvested accordingly, resulting in grapes of optimum quality and flavor.

An attractive nose of citrus rind, white flowers, and wet stone. On the palate, the wine is racy and mineral with just a touch of salinity. The hallmark of the great 2022s will be tension and length and Sébastien’s little wine has both in spades. Incredible acidic cut will make this fantastic at the table and a great candidate for short term aging.

 

The wines of Domaine Christophe all display classic Chablis notes of shells and green apples on the nose, along with a pretty, underlying hint of white flower and lemon. This wine is a selection from our estate and it pays tribute to the Maison Champy's founder: Edme Champy. The wine is made up of a mixed selection of 80 barrels, 40 of which come from Domaine Champy's vines (in the villages of Volnay and Ladoix) and from vines in the village of Santenay in the Côte de Beaune. The grapes are manually harvested and aged in barrels (of which 25 are new) for a duration of 14 months.

The wine is dark ruby with purple highlights. On the nose it's very open, with notes of small black fruit and vanilla on a finely woody background. Fresh on the palate, supple and round. A lively and structured wine, with tannins that are present but coated.

This wine is the  “Signature” of our oenologist Dimitri Bazas. This Bourgogne Chardonnay comes from a selection of our best barrels of Chardonnay. The grapes are grown in the classic regions of Puligny, Meursault, and Rully. This harmonious blend gives it both the classic character of Chardonnay from the Côte d'Or as well as the floral elegance, which is typical of the Côte Châlonnaise.

 

The grapes are manually harvested and aged for 10 months in barrels. This wine is made up of a selection of 30 barrels (30% of which are new). The wine is bright yellow with golden highlights. It has strong aromatic intensity; the nose is rich and well opened, with notes of exotic fruits and white flowers as well as notes of caramel and vanilla on a background of toasted bread. It is fresh on the palate with an opulent body, smooth and round. At the finish, it has a good aromatic persistence of fruit, united with a good balance between the acidity and the roundness.

A blend of three native grapes. It has refreshing lemon and green apple notes, some minerally sensations and a little breadiness. On the palate, it's refreshing, citric and savoury with lots of bright acidity.

 

This wine is from the northwest part of Lazio, near the border with Umbria. Legend has it that a bishop traveling to Rome would send a scout ahead of time to establish which inns were offering the best wines and he'd mark them with the word "Est" (which translates to “it is” in Latin). When he reached Montefiascone, the wine was so excellent there that the scout noted “Est! Est!! Est!!!” on the local inn’s front door, and so this wine is a nod to this story.

Côte 228 is a well-balanced wine with rich oak aged character. This complex wine shows generous fruit aromas such as crisp pears and a mineral finish. A classic Burgundian style French Chardonnay which will pair beautifully 
with seared scallops or a duck terrine. 

 

Over the years vineyards, and the plots within them, change. It’s nature’s way of keeping us interested. What doesn’t change is that certain piece of every plot that always gives you what you expect. The finest wine from the finest grapes. That’s the piece of land the Le Côte range comes from. The number, 228, represents the average altitude of the particular plot this wine comes from. The grapes are harvested at night and fermented at a low temperature. This seems to bring out the best in them. Some of these grapes are aged in barrels before they are all blended back together. It’s an unusual method but from the unusual comes the exceptional.

This is a voluptuous, mouth-coating Grenache augmented by smaller proportions of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Its black plum and mulberry flavours are intensely ripe and juicy, but it's a nuanced wine accented by flecks of peppery spice, espresso and violet, and a upright streak of acidity that anchors the finish. Approachable young, but should improve further well through 2035

This Chardonnay shines in brilliant straw yellow with a fruity bouquet of exotic notes, ripe apples and light floral aromas. On the palate, the wine is elegant and mild with an interesting finish. The ideal companion to Mediterranean cuisine, pasta or fish dishes, especially freshwater fish (trout, pike or salmon).

The vintage 2024 presents itself with excellent quality. After an unstable spring with rain at the time of flowering, the start of the summer was characterized by fresh temperatures, which required attention and increased work in the vineyards. July and August, on the other hand, were dry with wonderful summer weather. The high temperatures and plenty of sunshine in midsummer created ideal conditions for the ripening process of the grapes, which resulted in well-balanced grapes with good pH, acidity- and sugar levels. Overall, the harvest was smaller in terms of quantity, but the quality is excellent.

They expand to full force on the palate and fill the mouth with their mellow goodness, supported in this by rich notes of shortbread and wonderful lemon freshness. A round and vibrant medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, with plum and strawberry flavours combined with hints of red pepper and spices. The palate is smooth and balanced and red fruit flavours abound on the palate.

 

The Viña Echeverría Reserva range comprises seven wines, which are characterized by their lively and fruity appeal. Fresh and vibrant with little or no oak, they are a true expression of the individuality of each grape variety. These are wines which work as well as aperitif or house wines, as they do with food. The grapes for this wine are 100% handpicked, fermented in stainless steel and then aged in 225 liter French used barrels for about 4-5 months.
