TOLPUDDLE

Tolpuddle is an outstanding vineyard established by Martin Shaw and Master Winemaker Michael Hill Smith in 1988 in Tasmania's Coal River Valley. The vineyard is situated near the historic village of Richmond on land where George Loveless, the leader of the Tolpuddle martyrs served some of his sentence after being banished from the UK for daring to form a union. The 20 hectare estate is one of Australia’s great single vineyards. The wines are made in a respectful way, using traditional, low intervention winemaking methods, resulting in beautiful award winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that possess a unique, strong, and expressive character.
