Produced entirely from Sangiovese grapes, sourced in the estate's younger vineyards, Rosso di Montalcino is aged in large casks and barriques before a period of bottle aging. The wood aging, although not obligatory for the production of Rosso di Montalcino, tones down the tannins typical of a young Sangiovese and gives this red wine a complexity of aroma and structure that make it a great "Young Brunello".

The immediate impact is bright and lively with an incredible intensity of flavours, which explode from a center of dark fruit and blueberry and are framed by delicate acidity. In the finish, the citrus notes of blood orange dominate, and it ends with hints of earth and cedar, of incredible persistence.

A clear expression of Tuscan tradition, Chianti Classico offers a level of depth, strength and concentration that is rare for this denomination. It is mainly produced from Sangiovese grapes coming from vineyards located in the cooler areas of the estate, which give the wine a marked acidity, typical of this vine. The aromatic notes are characterized by intense aromas of plum, cedar, liquorice, cherries and hints of earth.

Fresh and pleasant on the palate, with the typical tannic astringency, it is ideal with grilled foods, white and red meats, medium-aged cheeses. Brilliant ruby red of medium intensity. Clear and intense fruity scents of strawberry, raspberry, black cherry and cherry. Fresh, lively, harmonious and balanced mouthfeel that is medium-bodied and pleasantly tannic.

The Langhe Nebbiolo Martinenga shows delicate fiber and a thin veiling of small forest fruit, licorice and rain-washed stone or cement. Those small details converge to create a very elegant and polished expression of Nebbiolo. For its accessibility and drinkability, I highly recommend this pretty wine.

Saint Bris is located in the Auxerre region (15 km from Chablis) and the wine comes exclusively from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, which makes this appellation an exception in Burgundy. This wine has aromas of citrus and lemon, sometimes a hint of fresh grass. The palate is balanced, structured and fresh. 

 

Domaine Bibich Bilo - 2024

A light white wine with tropical notes of guava and ripe apple. Dry and well balanced with high acidity. Extremely ripe and fresh, while being unbelievably drinkable makes this a perfect everyday white.

 

Elena Walch Chardonnay - 2024

This Chardonnay shines in brilliant straw yellow with a fruity bouquet of exotic notes, ripe apples and light floral aromas. On the palate, the wine is elegant and mild with an interesting finish. The ideal companion to Mediterranean cuisine, pasta or fish dishes, especially freshwater fish (trout, pike or salmon).

 

Les Villages Bench Pinot Noir - 2023

The impossibly complex bouquet darts between violets, classy, perfumed raspberries, and darker blue cherry-pit amaro fruit. On the palate, we have intensely fruity, iron-tinged mineral flavours with notes of anise. It finishes long and slately-clean, with even a hint of cherried vanilla. It delivers the goods we have been waiting for: the rich, hauntingly-complex, limestone-mineral flavours of the Bench! It may be at its best from 2024-2029.

Versatile and young, this wine has refreshing acidity and soft tannins. Deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. Driven by a passion for exceptional Nebbiolo, the Travagli family has been producing remarkable, limited-production wines from their eponymous estate in Gattinara for four generations. The Travaglini family owns 59 hectares of vineyards; 55 of which are dedicated to vines, primarily Nebbiolo, which covers roughly 50% of the total Gattinara DOCG. A small portion of old vines, is planted to native varieties Vespolina and Bonarda.

Grapes are crushed and macerated for about 12-14 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine ages 4 months in stainless steel tanks, and is then aged 10 months in used Slavonian oak casks.

Fully saturated red-ruby. High-pitched aromas of raspberry, blackberry, spices, violet and grilled nuts. Sweet and silky but also juicy and lively, thanks to harmonious acidity keeping the nicely concentrated flavors vibrant. This boasts excellent balance; not at all made in a jammy style, this finishes very clean, steely, and classically dry (about 3 g/L rs), with a very typical underlying note of graphite. A blend of 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara all grown at roughly 400 meters asl but the vines are specifically located where the hill changes direction, such that the grapes bask in a fresher, windier, and more sunlit area . There the grapes ripen because of the light and not of the heat, which is important because while the grapes need to be concentrated, they also need to have enough acidity. The wine ages three and a half to four years in oak and then one year in bottle. Drinking window: 2027-2038.

 Each vintage is special in its own, and the 2018 vintage is no different. It has combined the powerful qualities of the 2015 vintage along with the brilliant structure seen in 2016 and created an elegant wine with a strong backbone. The nose showcases more earthy aromas than fruit, highlighting nutmeg, cypress and roses. On the palate, the entrance is supple with luscious mouth filling tannins and expresses flavors of black cherries, candied apples and licorice. This beautifully layered blend carries through to a long, spicy finish with hints of balsamic, cloves and white pepper.

The first Bordeaux blend of the estate, based on Merlot and Cabernet Franc with a shot of Cabernet Sauvignon and a drop of Petit Verdot, is aged in 30% new French oak barrels for 18 months. It is restrained at present, scented with violet and cassis, undergrowth, chocolate and eucalyptus. It's smooth on the palate, with creaminess and great ripeness, super-refreshing and savoury. In the classic 2018 vintage this is definitely more elegant than powerful.

This pure Sangiovese has a bright nose, a nod to its temperate vintage, with floral aromas - roses and violets - followed by cypress and fresh rosemary. On the palate, flavors of ripe raspberries and hints of vanilla bean dominate. The mouthfeel is complex, full of soft tannins and uplifting acidity that bears the signature of classic Sangiovese. The finish has noticeable minerality with lingering notes of orange peel and cedar. The balance of acid, fruit and earth showcases the true terroir of this region.

Fully saturated red-ruby. High-pitched aromas of raspberry, blackberry, spices, violet and grilled nuts. Sweet and silky but also juicy and lively, thanks to harmonious acidity keeping the nicely concentrated flavors vibrant. This boasts excellent balance; not at all made in a jammy style, this finishes very clean, steely, and classically dry (about 3 g/L rs), with a very typical underlying note of graphite. A blend of 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara all grown at roughly 400 meters asl but the vines are specifically located where the hill changes direction, such that the grapes bask in a fresher, windier, and more sunlit area . There the grapes ripen because of the light and not of the heat, which is important because while the grapes need to be concentrated, they also need to have enough acidity. The wine ages three and a half to four years in oak and then one year in bottle. Drinking window: 2027-2038.

The 2019 finishes with tremendous length and is classically structured, as crunchy tannins resonate and violet inner florals slowly fade over a tactile coating of minerality. Il Poggione has captured the radiance of the vintage, yet this is just a baby today.
