Ruby red with garnet shades, beautiful clarity. The nose is delicate and complex: the essence of Nebbiolo. The underlying structure is vibrant, and elegant with soft tannins and harmonious acidity.

Langhe Nebbiolo is 100% Nebbiolo grapes coming from sites which enhance the more ethereal Nebbiolo aromatics and structure.

Low temperature during fermentation to have a soft extraction. Short permanence in neutral oak and the rest of aging in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and underline the classic nuances of Nebbiolo grape.

This Barolo comes from the best plots of seven crus. The diversity of soil, exposure and altitude characterizes each of these small but very important terroir. Unifying these diversities, the Barolo offers harmony and complexity with an overall character of the zone.

A beautiful Barolo here with a touch of dried spices to the grapefruit citrus, minerals, camphor and dried flowers. Melted, chalky tannins on the palate with medium to full body and a long, mineral-driven finish. Lots of clarity and finesse here.

Produced with grapes from the same vineyard from which we obtain our Barbaresco, it has all the character and elegance of the great Nebbiolo, with intense and very fine aromas of flowers and small ripe fruits. Fresh and pleasant on the palate, with the typical tannic astringency, it is ideal with grilled foods, white and red meats, medium-aged cheeses. Brilliant ruby red of medium intensity. Clear and intense fruity scents of strawberry, raspberry, black cherry and cherry. Fresh, lively, harmonious and balanced mouthfeel that is medium-bodied and pleasantly tannic.

The Langhe Nebbiolo Martinenga shows delicate fiber and a thin veiling of small forest fruit, licorice and rain-washed stone or cement. Those small details converge to create a very elegant and polished expression of Nebbiolo. For its accessibility and drinkability, I highly recommend this pretty wine.

Versatile and young, this wine has refreshing acidity and soft tannins. Deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, aromas of red fruit, blackberry, plum and licorice with hints of vanilla and leather. On the palate, full-bodied, with intense flavors of cherry, raspberry and spice culminating in a long and smooth finish. Outstanding with red meat, game and hard cheeses. Recommended ageing up to 5 years.

 

Driven by a passion for exceptional Nebbiolo, the Travagli family has been producing remarkable, limited-production wines from their eponymous estate in Gattinara for four generations. The Travaglini family owns 59 hectares of vineyards; 55 of which are dedicated to vines, primarily Nebbiolo, which covers roughly 50% of the total Gattinara DOCG. A small portion of old vines, is planted to native varieties Vespolina and Bonarda.

Grapes are crushed and macerated for about 12-14 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine ages 4 months in stainless steel tanks, and is then aged 10 months in used Slavonian oak casks.

The 2018 Barbaresco Gaiun Martinenga is a beautiful wine that shows the style of both the vintage and cru perched just above Asili. Dark cherry/plum, spice, menthol, licorice and a touch of nicely judged oak fill out the layers. In 2018 Gaiun is a bit light, as most wines are, and yet its balance is impeccable. Terrific.

Vintage and bright ruby red colour, attracting the eye with its delicate transparency.  Soft floral aromas, from violets to rose petals, taking on spicy and balsamic notes over time. Its finish offers hints of minerals and iron at times.  Elegant with a balance between freshness, barely outlined noble tannins and a subtle, infinite persistence of small red fruits, flowers and fruit jellies. Serve at 18-20 °C. Good to drink now or keep for longer cellaring.

Enticing scents of rose, blue flower and perfumed berry mingle with whiffs of alpine herb and camphor on this fragrant red. Medium bodied and loaded with finesse and energy, the elegant palate doles out ripe black cherry, licorice and tobacco before closing a mineral note suggesting iron. Polished tannins and bright acidity provide lithe support. Drink through 2026.
