Premium New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from one of the country's best winemakers. This is a single-vineyard wine from Martinborough offering a slightly more subdued style that Marlborough. Nice on lees gives this wine it's creamy, luxurious texture.

 

Bachelder Villages Chardonnay 'Bench' - 2022

'...The nose is wispy, flinty, and laced with saline freshness follow by lemon zest, pear, apple skin and elegant spice notes. Bodega Colome 'Autentico' Malbec - 2022

This Malbec comes from the soaring vineyards of Salta in northern Argentina - the highest in the world. The 'Autentico' Malbec is unoaked to let the fruit and terroir shines. This is a bright, fresh style that isn't weighed down by oak notes. Savoury and intense, with purple fruit, violet, and tobacco leaf in a dense and compact frame.

 

Paolo Scavino Langhe Nebbiolo - 2023

This is one of our favourite wines in the portfolio. Langhe Nebbiolo can be considered like baby Barolo, made from declassified vines and aged for less long in barrel, this is a great wine for drinking now yet still feels special enough to pour at a holiday dinner. 

 

Schug Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir - 2023

This ultra elegant Pinot reflects the cooler climate of California's Sonoma Coast AVA. The wine is aged in a combination of stainless steel, neutral barrel, and used barrels for minimal oak influence, providing a pure style the delicate red fruits and spice.

Alain Gueneau Sancerre - 2023

This elegant wine, displaying a delicate golden hue with subtle green undertones, exudes a captivating bouquet of ripe white stone fruits, accompanied by fragrant herbs and nuanced grassy notes. The bold palate reveals vibrant acidity harmoniously intertwined with flavors of luscious white peaches, apricot, lychee, and delicate white blossoms, culminating in a dry, enduring finish laden with zesty citrus undertones, all elegantly underlined by a captivating minerality. Great as an apéritif or with seafood and fish. A perfect match with goat cheese - Crottin de Chavignol. Drink now through 2027.

Straw yellow in colour; on the nose it shows aromas of fresh fruit, citrus and mineral notes.On the palate the freshness of the Vermentino balances the structure of the Chardonnay.

 

Vincent Caille Je t’Aime Mais J’ai Soif - NV

Beautiful yellow-green colour. Young and fruity wine which develops aromas of citrus fruit. The white wine “Je t’aime mais j’ai soif” can be served with seafood as well as with fresh water fish or sea fish. It will be perfect for aperitif.

 

Wilhelm Walch Pinot Grigio ‘Marat’ - 2022

100% Pinot Grigio fermented in stainless steel. Intense straw yellow colour. On the palate, it is full-bodied and dry. Hints of fresh fruits and citrus notes. Round at the palate with an intense fruit and creamy texture. In Alto Adige, this noble wine reaches an extraordinary elegant bouquet.

 

Hess Shirtail Chardonnay - 2022

Hess Collection Napa Valley Chardonnay offers elegant aromas of jasmine and honeysuckle, which harmonize with the delicious flavors of white peach, all enveloped in a beautiful finish of subtle vanilla, baking spice and toffee notes.

 

Poggio al Tesoro Solosole Vermentino - 2023

Golden yellow in colour with greenish hues, Solosole opens with notes of stone fruits such as peach and apricot, followed by sulphurous and flint-like notes. It has a medium body, with generous fruit character. The finish is long, dry and zesty, especially when young. It evolves interestingly in the glass, an indication of its excellent ageing capacity. 

 

Bernard Defaix Bourgogne Blanc - 2023

This Bourgogne Blanc comes exclusively from Chardonnay grape, planted on clayey and chalky soils. The Chardonnay, now grown all over the world, is native from Bourgogne and shows here its purest expression. Our Bourgogne blanc has a beautiful aromatic structure, a lot of fineness and a great balance. It is a real “pleasure wine”. To serve with a plate of sausages and ham, cold cuts, mixed salad or of course “gougères” (another speciality from Bourgogne!). 

 

 

 

Ah, Chardonnay- Sure, it’s been divisive, but we believe there’s so much to love about the grape. This premium mix of Dominique Cornin’s excellent Pouilly-Fuissé and Felton Road’s ‘Bannockburn’ Chardonnay are proof. Felton Road - Bannockburn Chardonnay - 2022

Notes of brioche, almond, peach and vivid citrus that culminate in white florals. There’s a really busy palate: multidimensional, lots of material, but at the same time driving through is a precise, linear wine with a tight focus. Bright acidity contributes to this, as does the detailed and saline finish.

 

Dominique Cornin - Pouilly Fuissé - 2021

This wine piles on the minerality and is balanced with a luxurious mouthfeel. Notes of lemon citrus, subtle tropical fruit notes, double cream brie, and fennel seeds. This wine is bursting with impatience, to be enjoyed with a perfect dozen escargots. Organic and biodynamic farming. Whole cluster press into stainless steel and fermentation with natural yeasts. Aged on lees for 11 months before bottling.

Bernard Defaix - Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Lechet - 2022

The remarkable stony and sunny soil of this Premier Cru, located on the slopes of the village Milly and on the right backs of the river Serein, is perfectly captured in this powerful and complex wine. It flourishes with age and expresses mineral aromas reminiscent of gunflint. The Côte de Lechet is indeed one of the Premiers Crus of the Chablisian vineyard with the most exceptional ageing potential. Serve with fish or poultry, with white butter or cream sauces.

 

Château du Glana - Saint Julien - 2018

A good estate to note down. Brothers Ludovic and Julien Meffre are making good wines here outside of the classified rankings that dominate the appellation. It has a touch of hedgerow in it, which in my mind is shorthand for not being over-polished, so you still get a sense of vibrancy but of actually being made by someone, not pulled off a conveyor belt. It's not the most sumptuous 2018 that you're going to find, but it's beautifully enjoyable, full of vigour and displays the ripe fruit of the vintage.

Schug Carneros Estate - Sonoma Coast Chardonnay - 2022

It has a medium body, with generous fruit character. The finish is long, dry and zesty, especially when young. It evolves interestingly in the glass, an indication of its excellent ageing capacity. Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is produced with the minimal use of new oak, to allow the bright varietal character to shine through. It was harvested from select vineyards located in the Sonoma Coast appellation, including the cooler microclimates of western Carneros, southern Sonoma Valley and the Petaluma Gap. It has a spicy apple aroma with hints of nutmeg and cream. Silky textured, it has delicate flavors of fresh fennel, pear and ripe apple. Try it paired with aged cheeses such as Gouda or Manchego, or with delicate seafood dishes, soups and pastas.

 

Marietta Cellars - Armé Cabernet Sauvignon - 2021

An exemplary California Cabernet aromatic experience filled with dried, minty herbs, and lavender. Blackberries, bright cherries and plums, with hints of leather and tobacco, all intertwine for a wonderfully balanced mouthfeel. This wine is sumptuous yet racy, polished yet spirited, delicious and gratifying- an iconic result in the glass. Marietta’s husband, Armé, nurtured my father’s love for this majestic landscape we call home. Like an early morning horse ride through chaparral, this Cabernet kicks up waves of floral, mint, and dusty sage on the nose. Elevated, clear, and refreshing, this wine startles and intrigues. Across the palate a broad flood of grippy tannins is eroded by a core of velvet. Fresh and rounded, big yet steely, with hints of Kalamata olive under the primary note of blueberry, this wine has incredible focus with settled length. Delicious now, this will show added layers and depth over the next 5-15 years.

Poggio al Tesoro - Solosole Vermentino - 2023

The great virtue of this Vermentino is that it enhances the aromas and flavours peculiar to Bolgheri. Its clean, crisp flavour and purity are its distinguishing features. The grapes are harvested when their colour changes to an intense yellow. The name Solosole, meaning 'just sunshine', derives from the fact that the wine is essentially a direct result of the work undertaken in the vineyards and the ripening sun.

 

Il Poggione - Rosso di Montalcino - 2022

Intense ruby red colour. Fruity bouquet with red berry notes. Very well structured, yet soft, long-lasting flavour with smooth, velvety tannins. 

Younger, more accessible version of the Brunello, but already with an excellent structure and a great personality, Rosso di Montalcino is a very important wine for Tenuta Il Poggione. Produced entirely from Sangiovese grapes, sourced in the estate's younger vineyards, Rosso di Montalcino is aged in large casks and barriques before a period of bottle aging. The wood aging, although not obligatory for the production of Rosso di Montalcino, tones down the tannins typical of a young Sangiovese and gives this red wine a complexity of aroma and structure that make it a great "Young Brunello".
