The 2020 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Sant'Urbano seduces with a savory and darkly alluring blend of dried black cherries, mentholated herbs, clove and shavings of citrus-laced dark chocolate. It sweeps across the palate with textures of pure silk, showcasing stunning minerality as crisp red berry fruits cascade across a core of stimulating acidity. This is a young, immediate red which retains the essence of the earth from which it was cultivated. It is characterised by fragrant scents and fresh flavours and is the ideal accompaniment for any kind of dish. While molinara is no longer mandatory in the blend, it is prized here for its capacity to impart freshness. Sour red mountain fruit doused with mint, bitter herb and anise. There is a crunchy sense of compression to the wine, too, thanks to the peppery tannins sewing up the seams. Textbook freshness. Delicious drinking. Drink now.

This is packed tight with a concentrated, silky bead of ripe red berries and red cherries that drives through the palate, until fine, quite firm tannins block its path right at the end. Medium-bodied, but the concentration of fruit makes it feel heavier. Lots of energy here, but balance, too. Delicious now. Even better after another year in bottle. From organically grown grapes. Produced with the RIPASSO technique deliberately applied in a more restrictive way than the production specifications, it is obtained by passing the Valpolicella Classico over the Amarone pomace only once. The result is an authentic local wine that elegantly displays a beautiful complexity of fruity aromas and spicy tones well supported by good acidity and the right alcohol content. 

A deep intense ruby red colour, with hints of red fruit, spices and cocoa on the nose. Warming and smooth on the palate, nicely balanced by rounded tannins. Perfectly matches with meat and cheese based dishes.

Intense, graceful and perfumed, with sweet violets, blood oranges, dry mushrooms, pomegranates and black pepper. Silky and supple on the palate with medium body, crisp and brilliant acidity and firm, crunchy tannins. Long, savoury and balanced.

A deep ruby red colour with a broad and intense bouquet redolent of fruit and aromatic herbs. There are spicy hints on the firm and forthright - yet rounded and elegant – palate. 

This is one of the most significant Valpolicella Superiore in the area and is obtained from the grapes of the Sant’Urbano vineyard. The grapes are left to dry for around 20-25 days, concentrating the flavors and enriching the aromas and softness, which find the perfect balance after approximately two years of ageing. It is a wine, which stands out for its remarkable elegance and complexity.
