Raats Family Wines - MR De Compostella - 2022

A Bordeaux style blend that captivates with its vibrant character. It begins with raspberry aromas and hints of black pepper. There is tension and energized acidity on the dark fruit palate. Spicy notes linger in the aftertaste. Enjoy this full-bodied red now or cellar through 2037.

 

Châtea Latour Martillac - Pesac Leognan - 2015

Beautiful deep garnet red. The nose is very intense with lovely maturity on red fruits (raspberry, cherry) and black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) notes. A touch oaky. A swirl round the glass opens more complex aromas of peony, liquorice, blackcurrant liquor and cocoa. A lovely mouthfeel, densely packed and seductive. Present but soft tannins give the wine a classical profile. The finish is long and slightly toasted.
