HEITZ

CELLAR
Heitz Cellar, founded by Joseph Heitz in 1961, is among the most celebrated of all producers in Napa Valley history. Their iconic 1974 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is considered to be one of the greatest wines ever produced in the region. The estate was purchased in 2018 by the Lawrence family who share Heitz’s vision and commitment to the same core values of fine winemaking. The wines are made from 100% organic, sustainably farmed Napa Valley fruit in a way that cherishes the history and legacy of the winery’s heritage.
Cabernet Sauvignon
$176.99 x 12
Regular price $1,879.54 PER CASEWinemaker Notes
The 2018 vintage was one of exceptional quality for Heitz Cellar. The cooler to moderate temperatures during the growing season allowed us to balance sugar and phenolic maturity in the fruit while maintaining natural acidity to help preserve the fresh characteristics of the vintage. The elegance and balanced structure of the 2018 vintage will make this an incredible wine to drink upon release and will continue to reward with cellar aging.
94 Points, James Suckling
A pure, balanced and fresh Napa cabernet that is not just showing heady concentration and dark fruit. Here you get some violets, nimble flowers, redcurrants, graphite and fine spices. Some oranges, too. Fragrant and nuanced. Medium to full body with tight yet refined tannins. Rather linear, tense and elegant, but lacking neither power nor definition. Better to give it a few years to deliver more complexity.
Lot C-91 Cabernet Sauvignon
$224.99 x 6
Regular price $1,194.64 PER CASEWinemaker Notes
The origin of Lot C-91 begins in the fall of 1969 with the idea that through meticulous site selection and assemblage, we can create something more significant than the sum of its parts. This historical cuvée is sourced exclusively from the renowned single vineyards of Heitz Cellar and showcases a most unique expression of the terroir of the Napa Valley.
In keeping with the original vision, Lot C-91 continues to be sourced from treasured parcels in Western Oakville, Eastern Rutherford, Southeast Howell Mountain, and the foothills of St. Helena and represents a greater step up in quality from the acclaimed Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Aged for nine months in large neutral casks and a combination of new and used French oak, the 2016 Lot C-91 exhibits the density and length of which only the truly great wines of the world are able to achieve. The presence of savory elements such as sage, rosemary, cured meats, and black pepper distinguishes this cuvée from any other. The conclusion of the Lot C-91 on the palate displays incredible complexity and harmony, and those who can afford to be patient will be rewarded for decades to come.

Grignolino
$49.99 x 12
Regular price $530.87 PER CASEWinemaker Notes
Grignolino is an Italian varietal from the Piedmont region in northern Italy. The Grignolino grape has large berries with many seeds, very thin skin and a light color. We have developed a great affection for Grignolino since we discovered it back in 1959 and are the only producer of a 100% varietal Grignolino in the U.S. The palate expresses fresh strawberries followed by a lively mix of red fruits. Soaring acidity is sculpted with delicate tannins and a nip of white pepper adds an assertive note to the finish. Lightly chilled, it is one of our favorite aperitifs, and of course, it is perfect with your favorite Italian meal.
