Bursting with luscious fruit and soft tannins, for excellent drinkability. Rich, ripe black cherry and black plums lead to a hint of vanilla and toast. Flavors of currants with juicy dark fruit and spicy cedar ends with rounded, well-balanced and complex finish.

Merlot grapes for this vintage were grown in several of Lodi’s sub-appellations including Alta Mesa, Sloughhouse, Mokelumne River, and Jahant. These different locations provide diverse soils and climate that, when combined, create a more complex wine than coming from one vineyard alone. The wine spends two months’ aging in new French oak.

Seductive and full-bodied, our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon exudes aromas of fresh berries, black currants and black cherries that are laced with eucalyptus, cedar, and mint. Big and powerful, yet elegant, this Cabernet exhibits flavors of sweet dark blackberry and plum with soft, creamy vanilla that plays well with the unique mineral qualities found only in wines produced in the Sierra Foothills.

Located at 2400 ft. above sea level, these grapes were estate-grown at our Hay Station Ranch vineyard where warm days are cooled by the evening mountain air. The unique soil of decomposed granite mixed with volcanic sediment and red clay produce a wonderful mineral component. Grapes have been grown in the Sierra Foothills for 150 years.

Obsession Symphony is a seductively aromatic wine with captivating aromas of gardenia, honeysuckle and star jasmine.  Think flavours of peaches, pineapple, honeydew and a hint of ginger, finishing crisp and clean

The Kautz family has the most significant plantings of this unique grape variety, planted primarily in Lodi. Created at the University of California at Davis in 1948 by Dr. Harold Olmo, Symphony is a cross between Muscat of Alexandria and Grenache Gris. This grape thrives in the mineral rich clay and fine sandy loam soils of Mokelumne River sub-appellation of Lodi. Vineyards were planted between 1998-2005, which offers a selection of maturity.
