A classic Felton Road nose of dark blossoms: rose and violet with a compote of dark fruits. The mid-palate is just screaming Felton Road. Black cherries and cream on the nose introduced cherry crumble on the palate with baked spices. Very harmonious for a wine so young, but a brooding undertow reveals the intrinsic power of the wine. Four Bannockburn vineyards seamlessly integrating to provide many layers and textures.

Dark fruit and cocoa lead this saturating and brooding bouquet. The palate is similarly intense, a different iteration of Felton Road, but it nevertheless has the openness and immediate silky appeal. Sandalwood, dark chocolate and cranberry lingers on a sustained and immensely impressive finish. Certainly no stage fright in this new performer!

Characteristic Calvert florals lead the nose with violets and dark rose petals dominating. The warmer 2022 vintage attempts to outplay the vineyard character, but as we have come to learn with this vineyard, Calvertness is rarely, if ever, outclassed. The deep silt soils and naturally moderated vine vigour provides intensity and detailed, elegant tannins. Fine and regal: a classic Calvert.

94+ Points, Wine Advocate (2022 Vintage)
This wine hits a massive stride. Forthright tannins accompany powerful fruit and fine acidity to make an impact. There’s pomegranate and cherry, violets, rosehips and capers, with green olive tapenade and even a hint of bone broth. Once again, the acidity in conjunction with the tannins combine to bring on a cool finish...

This is the most grown up Cornish Point yet. It has all the classic components (vibrantly fruited, voluptuous and rounded mouthfeel...), but with a structural complexity we have rarely seen before. Indulgent but serious tannins demand a thoughtful conversation in this 15th rendition. Baritones and altos all in harmony leading to a crescendo of a finish.

The vivacious fruit and spices are present as always, but are perhaps lighter in tone and more exotic. The palate has a savoury tone, which sits surprisingly well with the usual Cornish Point indulgences: luxurious fruit and exotic woods like Sandalwood, even Lebanon Cedar. The tannins are beautifully balanced and integrated, ever present, but never interfering; just contributing to the overall stature.
95 Points, The Real Review
Savoury and dried herbs evident on the aroma with floral, violet, dark cherry and berry, grape stems and spicy oak. Made using 25% whole clusters in the fermentation, which might explain a firm tannic structure that makes the wine slightly closed at this stage but suggests a promising future.
