We met Sebastian Van de Sype through Frank Cornelissen. Sebastian's father is best friends with Frank, and Sebastian grew up listening to many late-night conversations over wine between the two in their homeland in Belgium. Though Sebastian caught the wine bug early, it was his work in aerospace engineering that brought him to Italy, where he spent years working for Ferrari. Keen to finally shift into wine, he called Frank Cornelissen for consultation, who is a partner in the new project that launched in 2020. Sebastian exlucisely makes Lambrusco from around 10 hectares of vines in the town of Castelvetre di Modena. He works with native yeast and minimal intervention to make pure, transparent wines using the traditional and ancestrale methods.
