PAZO DE SAN MAURO

The Pazo de San Mauro Winery was built in 1591 in the parish of San Pablo de Porto, in Rías Baixas in the sub-denomination of Condado de Tea. One of the oldest wineries in Europe, it was acquired in 2003 by Marquús de Vargas Family Wines & Estates from Rioja. The majority of vines on the 30-hectare estate are dedicated to Albariño. All harvesting is done by hand and production is strictly limited, ensuring only the best fruit is used in the production of their wines which are well known for their complexity and mineral character.
