Mario Moccagatta and his wife Bruna founded Villa Sparina the heart of Piedmont’s Gavi DOCG in the 1970s. The 100 hectare estate’s vineyards are located in the Monterotondo district. They are primarily devoted to the indigenous Cortese grape which is used to make Gavi di Gavi and an elegant, a fresh Metodo Classico Spumante Brut. The vines are planted in soils that are ideal for the production of their richly flavoured wines that possess great depth and complexity with an immense potential for aging.
