Winemaker Notes
Concentrated and perfectly balanced, ruby colour with hints of purple. The nose combines aromas of red berries, floral notes, as well as saffron and sweet spices. The palate is full-bodied, rounded and smooth with soft and silky tannins. The finish of this perfumed wine is long and resonates with complexity.Medium density, it exudes notes of cherry and dark berries on the nose. There are also slight hints of vanilla and leather, everything very clean and precise. It's a real pleasure on the palate right from the start - great fruit sweetness, some spices, red berries, lots of cherries and a touch of vanilla. Gentle, silky tannins and a good, very balanced acidity. Very nice wine, easy to drink now with storage potential for 10-15 years.
The Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation consists of two parts. In the north, its soils are rich in alluvial deposits from the Meuzin valley. In the south, the silty soils come from the Vallerots Valley. The top of the hill has exposed limestone rocks. Born from vines on a clay-rich plot, our Nuits-Saint George is at once intense and complex.
